PAWN is the token symbol for the ERC-5D collection. This page covers the core token parameters, supply policy, and the on-chain infrastructure that supports trading.

Supply: 2000, hard capped, no mint

PAWN has a total supply of exactly 2000 tokens. This supply is final, immutable, and hard capped. There is no mint function anywhere in the codebase. No additional PAWN can ever be created by any actor or by any mechanism. The 2000 unit supply is the permanent and complete supply from the moment of deployment.

The fixed supply creates direct scarcity relative to the NFT layer: with 2000 total tokens and one NFT per whole token, the theoretical maximum NFT count across the entire collection is 2000. In practice, the active NFT count at any given time is lower, depending on how many whole tokens are held in non-exempt addresses.

The totalSupply() view function on PawnToken always returns 2000000000000000000000 (2000 × 10^18). This value never changes.

Decimals and divisibility

PAWN uses 18 decimal places, consistent with the ERC-20 standard and the native precision of Ether. This means the smallest representable unit is 0.000000000000000001 PAWN (one wei equivalent). PAWN is fully divisible and tradeable in fractional amounts on the market.

The NFT layer activates at whole-token boundaries. Only the integer floor of your balance determines your NFT count. Fractional PAWN below the next whole token does not trigger NFT minting. For example, holding 1.999 PAWN gives you one NFT; holding 2.001 PAWN gives you two.

Trading and the tax

PAWN launches with liquidity on Uniswap V4 on Base. The liquidity pool is seeded at launch by the deployer and the pair address is publicly readable on-chain. Standard ERC-20 approvals and the Uniswap Universal Router are used for all trades. No special interface or custom router is required.

Trading PAWN through the liquidity pool incurs a tax on both buys and sells. The rate starts at 10% for the first 15 buys, then drops permanently to 3% afterward. Wallet-to-wallet transfers pay no tax. Tax is routed to the PawnTreasury contract as ETH, where it accumulates and is distributed to NFT holders each epoch. This is the source of the ETH reward stream.

The approximate market capitalization of PAWN in ETH is readable on-chain through the getMcapApprox() view function on PawnTreasury, which reads the current liquidity pool reserves. This value is for display purposes only. It is not used in any reward formula or on-chain logic.

Contract addresses

Both contracts (PawnToken and PawnTreasury) are deployed on Base. Addresses will be published here following deployment. All contracts are verified on BaseScan.
